Attachment Training 4th February 2016

On the 4th February 2016 CATS hosted a conference at The Barn, Rose Cottage which focussed on Attachment. Leanne Horrocks presented a very infomative introduction to attachment theory. This was followed by a presentation on the Child Attachment Interview by Richard Gilham. After a delicious lunch, Annie Doubleday from SENSI talked about the work on Sensory Attachment Intervention Therapy (SAI) and treatments. This was new ground for many of the delegates and particularly well received. Finally Sue Zeitlin presented a case which highlighted the
similarities in presentation between some children with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and those with complex attachment difficulties.

“CATS has been established with the aim of providing benefit to children and young people who are vulnerable by virtue of their social, emotional and developmental needs”.
